Bald men are more attractive to women, according to science

A topic that comes up frequently is whether or not physical attractiveness matters when it comes to dating. And specifically what types of physical traits are most attractive.

Obviously, each person has their own tastes and not everyone pays attention to the same things, but there is always something that catches the attention of that special person: their intelligence, their displays of affection, their beard or their hair. nail … yes, his bald head!

According to a recently published study, Hairless men are more attractive to women because they portray masculinity, power, strength and leadership better.

So … does physique really matter when it comes to tying?

It’s hard to answer the question of whether looks matters when it comes to dating, as not everyone has the same opinion about respect and attraction is a subjective thing. The truth is, it is important that someone attracts us, but attraction can be understood not only by the physical. For example, maybe it’s the need that makes a person attractive to us. If we need affection and that special someone gives it to us, we can see them with other eyes overnight.

If we walk around we will see that physical attractiveness is not necessarily what unites people, because there are people who are extremely physically attractive and their partner is not. For this individual, there must be something attractive about their partnerOtherwise, I wouldn’t be with him or her (unless it was out of interest …). It makes him laugh, he touches his emotional side like no other, he has a radical personality or they share a hobby which is a great passion for both of them.

And do opinions on whether looks are important when it comes to dating can vary from person to person. You can check it out in this video below:

Bald men are more attractive

While physical appearance isn’t everything when it comes to having a relationship, science seems to suggest that bald people are more attractive. It may seem contradictory to what some men think of baldness.

If hair loss and alopecia are two of the biggest concerns for most menThis grieving process may be alleviated by findings like research that, in fact, people with no hair on their heads are lucky. Not only do they not have to comb out or spend money on waxing, but they also have great “sex appeal.”

The research was conducted by the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. According to the results, men with shaved heads are seen as more manly, dominant and protective.

Study data

To arrive at these conclusions, the director of research, psychologist Albert Mannes, conducted a study entitled “Shorn scalps and Perceptions of Male Dominance” which was divided into three phases:

In the first of the experiments, the researcher had a sample of 60 women who analyzed a series of images in which different men appeared: some with hair on their heads, others with small hair and others with shaved heads. Women claimed that hairless men conveyed a greater image of authority, influence and power.

In the second of the experiments, a series of photographs of haired men were retouched using an image editing program. Then the hairy photographs were shown, followed by the hairless photographs. Participants perceived that hairless men were more powerful and, in addition, taller and stronger.

In the final phase, the volunteers received written descriptions indicating the physical attributes of different people. People without hair were seen as more masculine, dominant, strong, and ultimately more attractive.

Women prefer tough guys

Science also seems to claim that tough guys are more attractive. This concludes a study conducted by G. Carter, A. Campbell and S. Muncer in 2013. For this research, the group of researchers included 128 women aged 18 to 36 years.

Participants attended a presentation in which a number of men appeared, some with Dark Triad personality traits (narcissists, Machiavellians, and psychopaths) and others without those traits. Women said boys with Dark Triad features were more attractive.

This, according to some researchers, may be because these traits are associated with greater abilities when it comes to making the family thrive in hostile environments where resources are scarce. It may not be useful in some contexts to have a mate like this, but in terms of the likelihood of having a minimum subsistence level, it could be a viable and valuable reproductive strategy if, instead of having a dream relationship, a minimum is sought.

Bald and bearded men: total attraction

Today, it is common to see many men who are shaved and bearded. According to the data above, hairless men are more attractive, but … what about bearded men? The beard is a trend and that’s why a lot of men let it grow. Such is the beard boom that there are many hairdressing centers that offer products for their care..

Scientific data suggests that bearded men are also very attractive and attach more than men without facial hair. At the very least, that’s what a study by psychologists Barnaby Dixon and Bob Brooks, conducted at the University of South Wales and published in Evolution & Human Behavior, states.
